Hong Kong Fundraising Dinner a Success!

A Hong Kong Gala held to raise funds on behalf of the Daughters for Life Foundation was held on May 15, 2013, at the Aberdeen Marina Club. The high-profile dinner was a huge success in supporting the vision and work of the Foundation, which is breaking new ground in its mandate and scholarship programs that provide girls, struggling with conflict and hardship in the Middle East, with opportunities for higher education, regardless of religious or national affiliations. The proceeds from the dinner go to DFL’s scholarship, fellowship and awards programs.

The event was organized by Suhair Taha Brown and Dania Abuali in support of Daughters for Life’e mission to empower girls and young women through the power of education. The well attended dinner was a great success: the program included a key note address by Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, Founder and President of the Daughters for Life Foundation and a very lively silent auction: notable were a selection of colourful self-portraits by Palestinian children enrolled at kindergartens in refugee camps in Lebanon.
