Dalia Aita is a Palestinian student from the Gaza Strip who grew up in a Refugee camp in Rafah City since she was nine years old. Dalia attended public elementary and Middle schools for Refugees in her city; she was a member of the Student Parliament throughout her years in school.
When she was in 9th grade, she was selected for the English Access Micro-scholarship Program which is a two-year English program, sponsored by AMIDEAST and a year later, she was selected for the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program and spent 11th grade year as an exchange student in Oregon-USA.
After becoming a YES alumna, Dalia became an Abraham Lincoln scholar and was selected as a Daughter for Life scholar. Dalia is very passionate about science, space, and Music and in her free time, she likes to explore, listen to music and read books.
